鼓型齒式聯(lián)軸器是一種特別設(shè)計(jì)的先進(jìn)齒式聯(lián)軸器，其外齒制成球面，球面的中心在齒輪的軸線上，齒側(cè)的間隙比一般產(chǎn)品稍大，鼓形齒聯(lián)軸器可以傳遞較大的扭矩和允許較大的角位移，性能優(yōu)異且壽命更加長(zhǎng)久。

對(duì)輪聯(lián)軸器慣性主軸線與旋轉(zhuǎn)軸線之間重心位置偏心量的可能值是平方和方根值而決定的，主要由兩半聯(lián)軸器和聯(lián)接螺栓組成，對(duì)輪聯(lián)軸器軸套孔裝配前，鏜削切割和鍵槽的修整聯(lián)軸器端面和其它表面的加工等。半聯(lián)軸器的軸套孔有圓錐孔和圓柱孔兩種形式，圓錐孔比圓柱孔在工藝特性上有較多的特點(diǎn)，圓錐形軸套孔容易獲得相配合部件之間的同心。

對(duì)輪聯(lián)軸器在工作過(guò)程中，并且會(huì)帶來(lái)燃油消耗空氣污染等后果，由于承受咬入沖擊動(dòng)載荷，使得聯(lián)軸器受到峰值轉(zhuǎn)矩，聯(lián)軸器承載能力下降，并在短時(shí)間內(nèi)失效，從而直接影響其正常工作，其中的較薄弱環(huán)節(jié)進(jìn)行替換或維修是重要和實(shí)用的。聯(lián)軸器兩軸相對(duì)半徑變位要求較好，找耦合同心度為0.2~0.6mm，存在很大困難。如果在駕駛過(guò)程中螺栓松動(dòng)，泵裝置的振動(dòng)和噪音可能會(huì)變大。
